Visit to College of Arms

Heraldry has played a vital role in communications for centuries. On Monday evening, 24th March 2025, members of the Worshipful Company of Communicators had an exclusive opportunity to understand more about this fascinating subject - and see first-hand our history take shape - in an exclusive tour of the College of Arms.

As part of the event, Tom Johnston, Rouge Croix Pursuivant of Arms, unveiled his initial design for our potential new coat of arms.

Tom also explained the history of heralds, heraldry and gave further information on the College of Arms, discussing its present activities, and showcasing a wide selection of some of its most interesting manuscripts.

This was a special, exclusive event, as the building is usually closed to the public, but we were able to enjoy behind the scenes access.

Thank you to all involved for a wonderful evening.
